Located in Port Blair Fisheries Museum is a well-known tourist attraction in the Andaman Islands. This popular sightseeing place of Andaman has a wide range of installations with informative coverage of the islands’ ecosystem, plants, animals, tribal communities and marine life. This museum includes a small aquarium that houses various collections of fishes and corals and shells. This museum is located adjacent to the Rajiv Gandhi Water Sport Complex, Port Blair.

Located near Marina Park, next to the Rajiv Gandhi Aquatic Complex, the Fisheries Museum is one of the best places to visit in Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It's about two miles from the Port Blair STS/Aberdeen Bazar bus stop. As a popular tourist destination, the museum exhibits tropical flora, aquatic life and marine life with detailed and informative information. There are small aquariums displaying various collections of fish, corals and shells. You can see marine life found in Indo-Pacific and Bay of Bengal waters: leatherback turtles, tortoiseshell turtles, hare fish, mangrove crabs, mollusks, reef fish, butterfly fish, clown fish, ichthyofauna, green turtle, etc. In the waters around the Andaman Islands, more than 1,200 species of fish have been reported. Nearly 300 of them are commercial species. Marine species found only in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are rarely found elsewhere in the world. These creatures are not even found anywhere else in the Indian subcontinent. Tourists visiting the islands from different parts of the country will visit this museum along with locals in Port Blair and surrounding towns.
